☕ Making Peace With Seattle: Pike Place, Fresh Fish & Golden Hour Beers

☕ Making Peace With Seattle:
Pike Place, Fresh Fish & Golden Hour Beers

There are some cities you visit…

And then there are cities that feel like they quietly rearrange your energy while feeding you incredible food.

Seattle?
Definitely the second kind.

Between the salty breeze drifting off Elliott Bay, the sound of street musicians echoing through Pike Place Public Market, and the smell of fresh coffee and seafood competing for your full emotional attention… Seattle has a vibe all its own.

And honestly?
I was fully willing to surrender to it.

🐟 Pike Place Public Market: Organized Chaos in the Best Possible Way

If you’ve never been to Pike Place Public Market, imagine this:

  • Flying fish
  • Crowds of happy wanderers
  • Tiny shops filled with handmade treasures
  • Fresh flowers everywhere
  • The smell of sourdough, espresso, seafood, and possibility

It’s like stepping into a living postcard… if that postcard also yelled “FRESH SALMON!” at you every six minutes.

The market buzzes with energy, but somehow never feels stressful. It’s alive in that magical way where every corner feels like a discovery:

  • quirky little boutiques
  • hidden food counters
  • local artists
  • shelves filled with things you suddenly convince yourself you absolutely need

Seattle doesn’t rush you. It invites you to wander.

And Pike Place practically demands it.

🍔 Lunch With a View: Old Stove Brewing Co.

Now let’s talk about one of the absolute highlights of the trip:

Old Stove Brewing Co.

This place doesn’t just serve food and beer…
It serves an experience.

The moment you walk in, you feel it:

  • relaxed energy
  • warm conversation
  • laughter bouncing around the room
  • the kind of atmosphere that makes you instantly want to stay longer than planned

And then there’s the view.

Their incredible 80-foot western window opens fully, giving guests breathtaking views of:

  • Elliott Bay
  • the Olympic Mountains
  • passing marine traffic
  • and sunsets that wash the entire space in golden light

It’s the kind of setting that makes you pause mid-bite just to soak it all in.

Honestly, if peace had a brewery… this might be it.

🍺 Amber Waves: Liquid Sunshine in a Glass

Now let’s discuss the real star of the table:

Amber Waves

Old Stove’s award-winning beer that somehow tastes exactly like Seattle feels.

Smooth, balanced, and ridiculously drinkable, Amber Waves carries this warm, rich flavor that feels both comforting and refreshing at the same time.

It’s the kind of beer that says:

“Relax. Stay awhile. Watch the boats.”

And suddenly… you do.

One sip in and you’re fully embracing your Pacific Northwest era.

🍔 The Old Stove Burger & Fries: Worth Every Single Bite

And then came the burger.

Friends…
The Old Stove Burger & Fries deserves a standing ovation.

Juicy, flavorful, perfectly messy—the kind of burger where halfway through eating it you stop talking completely because your soul is busy processing happiness.

And the fries?
Golden little crispy miracles.

At that point, all personal growth and spiritual enlightenment temporarily paused while I focused entirely on finishing every last bite.

No regrets.

🌅 The Vibes: Seattle Knows Something the Rest of Us Forgot

What struck me most about Seattle wasn’t just the scenery or the food.

It was the feeling.

People seemed more present.
More relaxed.
More willing to sit, sip, wander, and just exist for a while.

There’s something deeply grounding about:

  • watching ferries cross the bay
  • hearing seagulls overhead
  • sipping a cold beer while sunlight floods the room
  • wandering Pike Place with absolutely nowhere urgent to be

Seattle reminds you that life doesn’t always have to move at full speed.

Sometimes peace looks like:

  • fresh flowers
  • ocean air
  • a really good burger
  • and an award-winning amber ale at golden hour

✨ Final Thoughts

If you ever find yourself in Seattle, do yourself a favor:

  • wander Pike Place
  • explore the little shops
  • watch the fish fly
  • grab a seat at Old Stove Brewing Co.
  • order the Amber Waves
  • and absolutely do not skip the burger and fries

Trust me.

Your spirit—and your stomach—will thank you.

Free Shipping, Good Vibes & Looking Cool: The Make Peace With Life Shirt Movement

Woman in Lotus Position with Make Peace With Life Shirt on!

Free Shipping, Good Vibes & Looking Cool: The Make Peace With Life Shirt Movement

Let’s be honest…

There are few things in life more disappointing than finding the perfect shirt online, adding it to your cart, emotionally committing to it, and then suddenly getting attacked by shipping costs at checkout like:

“Surprise! That’ll be another $12.95 for the privilege of fabric transportation.”

Not anymore.

The Make Peace With Life shirts now come with FREE SHIPPING, because we believe getting something that spreads positivity, purpose, and good energy throughout the universe shouldn’t also require taking out a small loan to cover delivery fees.

That’s right.
You now get to pay less… for a shirt that actually gives you more.

More comfort.
More positivity.
More connection.
More style.
More energetic awesomeness.

And honestly?
That feels like a pretty solid life decision.

Click here to get your Make Peace With Life Shirt

But these shirts are more than just soft fabric and cool designs. They’re part of something bigger. Every time someone wears a Make Peace With Life shirt, they’re putting a message into the world that people genuinely need right now. In a world where stress, negativity, division, and doom-scrolling seem to compete for Olympic gold medals every single day, a simple positive message can actually shift someone’s energy. You never know who might see your shirt while standing in line for coffee, walking through the grocery store, or surviving another painfully awkward family gathering. One person reads “Make Peace With Life” and suddenly pauses for a moment. Maybe they smile. Maybe they breathe easier. Maybe they realize they’ve been way too hard on themselves lately. That’s real energy. That’s impact.

Because positivity spreads.

Energy spreads.

And yes… apparently cool shirts spread too.

There’s something powerful about wearing a message that reminds people life doesn’t have to be perfect to still be meaningful. These shirts quietly say:

“Hey… maybe we can all chill out a little, breathe deeper, and stop acting like every inconvenience is a full-scale spiritual emergency.”

And honestly, the world could use more of that.

Plus, let’s not ignore an important scientific fact:
These shirts also make you look cool.

Not just “nice shirt” cool.
We’re talking:

  • grounded-but-fun cool
  • peaceful-with-good-energy cool
  • probably-gives-great-life-advice cool
  • somehow-both-spiritual-and-hilarious cool

That kind of cool.

And the best part is these shirts are for everyone.

It doesn’t matter:

  • who you are
  • what you believe
  • what music you listen to
  • whether you meditate daily or just aggressively overthink in silence
  • whether you hike mountains or simply climb out of bed after hitting snooze four times

The Make Peace With Life message belongs to all of us.

Because peace is universal.
Growth is universal.
Human struggle is universal.
And wanting a comfortable shirt with free shipping is definitely universal.

At the end of the day, this movement has always been about more than clothing. It’s about connection, positivity, humor, perspective, and reminding people that even in the middle of life’s chaos, there’s still room for peace, laughter, kindness, and growth. Every shirt shared in the world becomes another small ripple of good energy moving outward into the collective human experience.

So yes…
You’re getting free shipping.

But you’re also helping spread a message the world desperately needs.

And honestly?
That’s a pretty good deal.

The Energy of a Fun Run

Fun Run Event with Runners Wearing Make Peace With life Shirts

The Energy of a Fun Run

Where Movement, Community, and a Little Bit of Magic Collide

There are certain moments in life where you can feel the energy before anything even starts.

A concert right before the lights go down.
A big game just before kickoff.
And, as I recently experienced…

fun run just before the first runner crosses the starting line.

It Starts Before the First Step

I recently volunteered at a 5-mile fun run, and I’ll be honest—I expected it to be fun…

But I didn’t expect it to feel like an energetic event on a completely different level.

Before the race even began, you could sense it.

People stretching.
Music playing.
Friends laughing.
Runners bouncing in place like they’ve had just enough coffee—but not too much (we don’t need a mid-race situation).

There was this shared anticipation in the air, like everyone was collectively saying:

“Something good is about to happen.”

And it was.

The Beautiful Mix of Humanity

One of the coolest things about a fun run is the people.

You’ve got:

  • The ultra-competitive runners eyeing the finish line before the race even starts
  • The steady, focused runners just looking to beat their personal best
  • The walkers who are simply enjoying the day
  • And everyone in between

It’s not one type of person.

It’s every type of person.

You see young kids full of energy, sprinting like they just discovered what legs can do.

You see what I like to call youthful senior citizens—people who have clearly figured something out about life and are out there moving, smiling, and probably enjoying it more than anyone else.

And then you see the rest of us…

Somewhere between “I’ve got this” and “Why did I sign up for this again?”

It’s a beautiful spectrum.

The Comradery Is Real

Here’s where it gets even better.

Despite different goals, speeds, and levels of competitiveness, there’s this unspoken connection among everyone.

People encourage each other.
They cheer strangers on.
They celebrate finishes—whether it’s first place or just finishing.

It’s not about beating each other.

It’s about being part of something together.

And in a world that can sometimes feel a little disconnected…

That kind of shared experience hits different.

The Volunteers: The Unsung Heroes

Now let’s talk about the real MVPs.

The volunteers.

These are the people who show up early, stay late, and bring the energy that keeps everything moving.

They’re handing out water like hydration superheroes.
They’re offering snacks like it’s a five-star recovery station.
They’re playing music, cheering people on, and creating an atmosphere that lifts everyone up.

And they’re doing it all because they want to be part of something positive.

That kind of energy is contagious.

My Role: Part Announcer, Part Comedian

And then there was my role…

Somewhere between event announcer and unofficial fun run comedian.

I had the chance to call out performances, celebrate runners, and add a little personality to the event.

Which, let’s be honest, means I probably threw in a few jokes that landed… and maybe a couple that ran slower than the last-place finisher.

But that’s part of the fun.

Because events like this aren’t just about running.

They’re about creating moments.

Moments where people smile.
Moments where people feel seen.
Moments where people connect.

The Metaphysical Side of It All

Now let’s zoom out for a second.

Because what’s really happening at a fun run goes beyond the physical.

You’ve got hundreds of people:

  • Moving their bodies
  • Setting intentions
  • Supporting each other
  • Sharing a common experience

That’s a powerful collective energy.

It’s like everyone brings their own spark, and together it creates something bigger.

A field of positivity.
A wave of motivation.
An environment where people feel alive, connected, and uplifted.

And even if you don’t think about it in metaphysical terms…

You feel it.

It’s Not About the Finish Line

Sure, there’s a start line and a finish line.

But the real value?

It’s everything in between.

The laughter.
The effort.
The encouragement.
The unexpected conversations.

The realization that you’re part of something that feels good.

Why You Should Be Part of One

Here’s the bottom line.

Whether you:

  • Run
  • Walk
  • Jog
  • Volunteer
  • Or just show up to support

You’re going to get something out of it.

You’ll feel the energy.
You’ll connect with people.
You’ll be part of something positive.

And in today’s world…

That’s something worth showing up for.

Find Your Starting Line

You don’t have to be the fastest.

You don’t have to be the most experienced.

You just have to show up.

Because when you do…

You’ll realize that events like this aren’t just about movement.

They’re about community.
They’re about energy.
They’re about creating moments that stay with you.

And whether you cross the finish line first, last, or somewhere in the middle…

You’re still part of something amazing.

So the next time you see a fun run happening in your area…

Volunteer.
Jump in.

Because sometimes, making peace with life…

Starts with a single step—and a whole lot of good energy around you.

Even People Who Make Peace With Life Still Get Mad

My Image with a road behind me with sunlight

Even People Who Make Peace With Life Still Get Mad

And That’s Completely Okay

Let’s clear something up right away…

Just because you’re working on yourself, thinking positively, and trying to Make Peace With Life

Does not mean you suddenly float through life like some permanently calm, traffic-proof, sports-loss-resistant enlightened being.

Nope.

You’re still human.

And sometimes… humans get annoyed.

The Moment It Happens

It usually comes out of nowhere.

You’re having a good day… maybe even a great one. You’re feeling balanced, grounded, maybe even a little proud of yourself.

Then suddenly…

Someone cuts you off in traffic.

And just like that, your inner peace takes a quick coffee break.

Or your favorite team loses in the final seconds of the game—and now you’re sitting there questioning life, the universe, and why that one play had to go so wrong.

Or maybe it’s something closer to home.

A friend says something the wrong way.
A family member pushes one of those very specific buttons they seem to know exactly how to find.

And boom.

Switch flipped.

Peace… temporarily unavailable.

The Truth: It’s a Natural Response

Here’s where a lot of people get tripped up.

They think:
“I’m working on being positive… why did I just get so mad?”

Because you’re human.

Emotions—especially the quick, reactive ones—are often instinctual. They happen fast, before your logical mind even has time to step in and say, “Hey, maybe we don’t need to react like that.”

Your brain is wired to protect, react, and respond.

So when something unexpected happens, your system goes:

“Hold up. What was that?”

And sometimes that shows up as frustration, anger, or irritation.

That’s not failure.

That’s biology.

Don’t Beat Yourself Up (You’re Not That Special)

And yes, that line is meant to make you smile a little.

Because here’s the thing…

You’re not the only one who gets irritated in traffic.
You’re not the only one who yells at a TV during a game.
You’re not the only one who gets triggered by people you actually love.

It happens to everyone.

So instead of beating yourself up over it, take a breath and realize:

“This is part of the process.”

The Shift: From Reaction to Reflection

Now here’s where Make Peace With Life comes into play.

It’s not about never getting upset.

It’s about what you do after you get upset.

That moment after the reaction… that’s where the growth lives.

Instead of staying stuck in it, you begin to ask:

  • Why did that bother me so much?
  • What was actually triggered in me?
  • Was it really about the situation… or something deeper?

And sometimes, when you step outside your own perspective, things look a little different.

Maybe There’s More to the Story

That person who cut you off?

Maybe they’re rushing someone to the hospital.
Maybe they just got a phone call that changed their entire day.
Maybe they’re distracted, overwhelmed, or just having a rough moment.

Now, to be fair…

They also might just be a terrible driver.

Let’s keep it real.

But the point is—you don’t actually know.

And when you open yourself up to the possibility that there’s more going on than what you see…

Your reaction starts to soften.

The Metaphysical Perspective

From a metaphysical standpoint, these moments are interesting.

They’re not just random annoyances—they’re signals.

Little flashes that show you:

  • Where your patience is being tested
  • Where your expectations live
  • Where your control ends

They reveal areas where your energy tightens, where resistance shows up, and where you might still be holding onto something.

Not in a bad way.

Just in a human way.

These moments give you the opportunity to observe yourself, instead of just reacting as yourself.

Feel It… Just Don’t Live There

Here’s the balance.

You’re allowed to get upset.

You’re allowed to feel frustrated.

You’re allowed to have those “Are you kidding me right now?” moments.

Feel it.

Acknowledge it.

Maybe even laugh about it once the moment passes.

But don’t live there.

That’s the key.

Because living in that space—holding onto anger, replaying the moment, feeding the frustration—that’s where it starts to take something from you.

Your energy.
Your mood.
Your peace.

And that’s not worth it.

Moving Back to Peace

Making peace with life isn’t about perfection.

It’s about returning.

Returning to balance.
Returning to awareness.
Returning to a place where you feel good again.

Sometimes that takes seconds.
Sometimes it takes a little longer.

But every time you catch yourself, reflect, and let it go…

You’re building something.

Patience.
Understanding.
Control over your own energy.

Peace Isn’t the Absence of Frustration

Peace isn’t a life where nothing ever bothers you.

Peace is a life where things can bother you…

…but they don’t control you.

So the next time you lose your cool for a moment…

Don’t judge it.

Don’t fight it.

Just notice it, learn from it, and move through it.

Because even on those imperfect days…

You’re still doing the work.

And that…

Is how you Make Peace With Life.

The Power of a Simple Stretch

Woman Stretching her arm and back in nature

The Power of a Simple Stretch

How One Small Movement Can Shift Your Mood, Health, and Energy

There are moments in life where we search for something big to change how we feel.

We look for the perfect routine, the perfect workout, the perfect mindset shift… something dramatic that will flip a switch and suddenly make everything better.

But sometimes, the shift doesn’t come from something big.

Sometimes… it starts with something as simple as a stretch.

There’s a quiet kind of magic in stretching that most people overlook.

It’s not flashy. It’s not complicated. It doesn’t require equipment, a membership, or even much time. Yet, the moment you take a second to reach your arms overhead, roll your shoulders back, or gently twist your body, something begins to change.

You feel it almost immediately.

Your body loosens.
Your breath deepens.
Your mind slows down just a bit.

And for a brief moment, everything feels… lighter.

From a physical standpoint, stretching wakes the body up in a way that feels natural and intuitive. It improves circulation, increases flexibility, and helps release tension that quietly builds up throughout the day. Whether you’ve been sitting too long, standing too long, or just carrying stress in your muscles, stretching acts like a reset for your body.

It reminds your body how it’s supposed to feel.

Not tight. Not restricted. But open, mobile, and alive.

But what’s even more interesting is what happens mentally.

When you stretch, you’re not just moving your body—you’re interrupting whatever mental loop you were in. Stress, frustration, overthinking… they all get paused, even if just for a few seconds.

Stretching forces you into the present moment.

You notice your breath.
You notice your body.
You notice where you’re holding tension.

And in doing so, you create space.

Space between thoughts.
Space between reactions.
Space to reset your mindset.

It’s subtle, but powerful.

Now take it one step further—into the metaphysical.

If you believe, even a little, that energy flows through the body, then it’s not hard to see how stretching plays a role in that flow.

Throughout the day, energy gets stuck.

In your shoulders from stress.
In your neck from tension.
In your lower back from long hours and heavy thoughts.

Stretching becomes a way of releasing that blocked energy.

When you open your chest, it feels like you’re opening yourself up.
When you reach upward, it feels like you’re expanding.
When you twist, it feels like you’re letting go of what no longer serves you.

It’s not just physical movement—it’s energetic movement.

And whether you think of it in scientific terms or metaphysical ones, the result is the same:

You feel better.

There’s also something deeply personal about stretching.

It doesn’t have to be structured or perfect. There’s no right way or wrong way. You don’t need to follow a routine or hit a certain level of performance.

It’s just you, listening to your body.

In a world that constantly tells you to move faster, do more, and push harder, stretching is the opposite.

It’s permission to slow down.

Permission to check in.

Permission to take care of yourself in a way that feels good, not forced.

And maybe that’s why it’s so powerful.

Because it’s simple.

So simple that most people overlook it.

But the truth is, those small, intentional moments—like taking 30 seconds to stretch—can have a ripple effect throughout your entire day.

Your mood improves.
Your body feels better.
Your energy shifts.

You become just a little more grounded. A little more relaxed. A little more at peace.

So the next time you’re feeling off…

Before you reach for something complicated, try something simple.

Stand up.
Reach your arms to the sky.
Take a deep breath.
Let your body move the way it wants to.

And notice what happens.

Because sometimes, making peace with life doesn’t start with a big change…

It starts with a stretch.

Rewriting the Energy: How Feng Shui Transformed My Living Room

My Laughing in a living room

Rewriting the Energy: How Feng Shui Transformed My Living Room

There’s something quietly powerful about shifting your space… and suddenly feeling like you’ve shifted yourself.

That’s exactly what happened when I leaned into Feng Shui—not as a strict rulebook, but as an intuitive dance with energy, flow, and intention.

The Shift: From Stagnant to Flowing

Before, my living room looked fine. Furniture was placed where it “made sense,” everything lined up neatly… but something felt off. The energy didn’t move—it just kind of… sat there.

So I started experimenting.

I turned my furniture at new angles—nothing drastic, just enough to break the rigid, straight-line layout. And almost immediately, the room began to breathe.

Suddenly:

  • Pathways opened up naturally
  • The space felt bigger without adding a single inch
  • Every corner became accessible, inviting, alive

It was like unlocking a current that had been waiting to flow all along.

Energy in Motion

Feng Shui teaches that energy (or chi) thrives on movement—and I felt that firsthand.

By simply adjusting the orientation of my couch, chairs, and table:

  • Energy could now travel freely through the entire open space
  • There were no longer “dead zones” or heavy pockets
  • The room felt connected, cohesive, and awake

It wasn’t just visual—it was visceral.

A Space That Moves With Me

Here’s where it gets magical.

As the energy opened up… so did I.

With more flow came more freedom:

  • I found myself dancing more—literally just moving through the space with ease
  • Workouts felt more natural, like the room was supporting me instead of restricting me
  • Even relaxing felt deeper, more intentional, more earned

It’s wild how changing your environment can give you permission to show up differently in your own life.

The Emotional Lift

This wasn’t just about furniture—it was about frequency.

The room feels lighter now. Brighter. More aligned.

There’s a subtle but undeniable uplift:

  • My mood improved
  • My creativity expanded
  • I actually want to spend time in my living room now

It feels like the space is working with me, not against me.

Design Your Energy

Feng Shui isn’t about perfection—it’s about awareness.

Sometimes the smallest shifts create the biggest transformations. Turning a couch. Opening a pathway. Letting energy flow instead of forcing structure.

Your space holds energy.
And when you change your space… your space changes you.

✨ So if your living room feels a little stuck, try this:

Turn something. Shift something. Trust your instinct.

You might just unlock a whole new version of your space—and yourself.
